Biography

Al Herron, president and chief executive officer of CENTURY 21 Galloway-Herron has more than 30 years of real estate experience. He began his career in Dallas as a loan officer for Dallas Federal Savings & Loan. However, Herron's career soon took a different direction after meeting prominent businessman C.A. Galloway.

Mr. Galloway and Herron became business partners and formed Galloway-Herron Realtors and then in 1979 joined the CENTURY 21 franchise as CENTURY 21 Galloway-Herron.

CENTURY 21 Galloway-Herron has a sales staff of more than 40 sales professionals and is consistently ranked as one of the top producing Century 21 offices in Dallas. The office is recognized as a Centurion office among the CENTURY 21 System. Galloway-Herron was the first office in the CENTURY 21 System to receive the Quality Service Award on stage at the National convention in 1992. The office was again named a Quality Service Award winner in 2002.

Herron is a well respected member of the Dallas Business Community. He is a past member of the United Way and served five years on the Dallas Fort Worth Airport Board, a member of the Dallas Association of Real Estate Brokers, National Association of Real Estate Brokers, State Fair of Texas Board of Directors, the Advisory Board of the Business School of the University of Southern Mississippi , Fannie Mae Advisory Council and the Board of Trustees at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. In 2003, Herron was elected president of the Dallas/Ft. Worth CENTURY 21 Broker's Council.

Herron hosted real estate talk shows on KHVN-97 radio and on KXTS-TV entitled 'Let's Talk Real Estate.' He is currently the host of ?The Real Estate Report,' on KKDA radio in Dallas. He has appeared as a guest speaker at the Century 21 National Convention, The National Association of Real Estate Brokers Convention, and also at conferences in Chicago, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Houston and Louisville. He is also author of the book, 'Ten Steps to Financial Freedom.' His second book, 'The Working Man and Woman's Guide to Becoming a Millionaire ,' was released April 2006.

The Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce awarded him the Quest for Success Award. He has also received the Hammer Award by the SCLC and the Education and Civic Award given by the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Metropolitan Dallas. The South Dallas Business and Professional Women's Club selected Herron as their 2002 Trailblazer and most recently honored in 206 by the Dallas Urban League for his outstanding achievements and contributions in the field of business at their annual meeting and luncheon.

Herron is married to wife, Lela and they have two children and two grandchildren.
